What do you love about cooking/baking?

I love to see the raw ingredients being put together and creating some fantastic dishes out of it.

What makes you happy?

To be able to let my students learn some skills from me and cook some wonderful dishes for their loved ones.

What is your favourite part about being a Chef?

To see the smile on my clients face while eating my food.

Person you would most like to cook for?

My grandma, but sadly she passed on so that she can give her comments on my Peranakan cooking as she is one true blue Nonya.

What do you eat? What's your favourite dish? Why?

I eat everything that walks, crawls or swims, hahaha.

What was your biggest kitchen disaster?

Getting cuts and burns on the hands. The biggest cut was caused when I was chopping roasted duck too quickly as there were so many orders and I nearly chopped off my fingers. I had a very deep cut and blood was spewing everywhere nonstop which required stitches.

What's your secret weapon in the kitchen?

My trusted personal chef knife and plating tweezers

What inspires you?

To impart knowledge and seeing my students graduate and to make a name for themselves in the kitchen world.
