Born in Puerto Rico to a family of great cooks passionate about the island’s flavours, Conchita was exposed to a variety of dishes from an early age. It was during her college years in the USA, while missing these flavours, she started cooking for herself and later hosting friends for dinner parties. She has not stopped since then!
She moved to Singapore in the early 90s. To her surprise, she discovered that a lot of ingredients used in Caribbean dishes were easily available here. She would always cook for friends here sharing her island flavours and in many occasions teaching them to cook special dishes.
