Battered deep-fried ingredients such as prawn, lotus root, mushroom and pumpkin. Learn how to make the delicious tempura dipping sauce.


A one-bowl dish using tempura and a different flavoured sauce, served with rice.


A one-bowl dish made with chicken slices and egg marinated in a basic Japanese sauce, served with rice.

Tonjiru (Soup)

This hearty soup is made with dashi (fish stock) and miso paste, and contains ingredients such as pork belly, burdock, taro, carrot, konnyaku and leek.
