French pastries are made at shops called a ‘Patisserie’. They are the experts at pastries and sweets. After this course, you will be one step closer to buying less and making more at home.
The Tarte Tatin: a stylized apple pie – just by the fact that it is actually baked upside down. This method allows it to soak it a caramel that covers the base of the pan.
Paris Brest: An iconic dessert made it commemoration of a bicycle race. It has predominant flavours of hazelnut and vanilla.
Clafoutis: Halfway between a pudding and creamy custard, but a little bit of both too. Commonly baked with some fruit too.
Crème Brûlée: This one is well known! Soft and smooth custard, baked at low temperatures with a pane of caramelised sugar on its surface.
