Mazzeh or mezze originated from the Persian word 'to taste'. They are usually served as appetisers, sides to mains or tapas.
These dishes are prepared by combining various smoked or steamed vegetables with a concoction of yogurt eggs and even garlic and seasoned to perfection with peppers, paprika or rosemary to ignite a symphony of taste on your palate.
