Culinary Arts - Focus On Healthy Cuisine Nutrition Basics Menu 2 (Snack & Dinner)
Taught by an accredited dietitian, this cooking class focuses on healthy meals including breakfast, snacks and main meals. Participants will be taught not only basic food preparation and cooking principles but they will also be taught the basics of nutrition and healthy living as suggested by the Ministry Of Health, including: Macronutrients and how to portion correctly, micronutrients through a healthy diet, diabetes prevention, cardiovascular diseases and controlling the risk factors, identifying the diet that works for you and discerning which is fad and which works.
Included will be a lecture on nutrition basics, health, lifestyle and disease prevention.
Snack: Home made granola
Dinner: Brown rice salad with roasted pork tenderloin served with cherry tomato sauce vierge
