There hasn’t been a Christmas without the likes of a Buche de Noel for the family to enjoy. In the past, a Yule Log was burnt during the Winter Solstice in Nordic tradition for health and protection. Over time, the practice was assimilated into Christmas and has stuck around ever since. Intricately decorated to resemble a log covered with snow, we will use buttercream to decorate the exterior of our Chocolate sponge cake. 


This course will span 3 hours and the items you will learn are:

Chocolate Italian buttercream

Joconde sponge cake

Meringue decorations

Dark chocolate ganache coating

Chantilly cream filling
