The Real Taste of Sicily
When you taste true Sicilian agricultural produce such as organic extra virgin olive oil from the finest Sicilian olives, the famous blood red oranges, excellent wines from a variety of grapes, unique cherry tomatoes and pistachio nuts, you will probably notice the extraordinary aroma and taste. One major reason for this blast of flavours is Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. Its volcanic lava has made the surrounding land to be among the most fertile in the world. Combined with the special climactic conditions of the island of Sicily, all produce grown on the soil surrounding Mount Etna simply possess a very unique flavour.
Now the real taste of Sicily is available in the heart of Singapore. At the revamped Lau Pa Sat Festival Market, you can savor true Sicilian products in two new Italian restaurants: Etna Restaurant & Pizzeria, and Sicilia Mia Café & Bar. Lots of Italian recipes are lovingly prepared in true Italian tradition by Head Chef Nazario Malerba. Having worked with well-known Italian restaurants in Singapore and now recognized as a leading Italian chef locally, Chef Nazario has also worked as a chef in many parts of the world, Italy and Germany in particular.
Serving authentic Italian classics and chef specialties at reasonable prices, both Etna and Sicilia Mia offer genuine Sicilian culture and warm hospitality.
