Born and brought up in Mumbai, India Manjri completed her high school education and went to New York for higher education. Having completed her Bachelors degree in Accounting and International Business from the Stern school of business at New York University, she worked with Citigroup in their strategy department for 6 months.
She got married in December 2003 and spent part of the year in India and the other in Switzerland. She worked in the International Finance department with her husband who is in the International trading of bulk raw materials business.
Having a business background, she set up the company Tastebuds that organizes annual food fairs in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. The first of its kind in India will be held in October 2008.
She has always been very fond of food and having lived in places such as New York and Switzerland has been exposed to a variety of International cuisines and gourmet food. She discovered her passion for cooking after marriage and since then there been no turning back. It only gets more exciting and adventurous in her kitchen as each meal is prepared.
Now traveling to Singapore frequently with her husband and 7 month old son, Manjri is here to spread the wonderful flavours of Indian and Middle-Eastern cuisines.
