After spending years trying to figure out why she couldn’t derive any satisfaction from her career in the healthcare industry, Lynn finally made the decision to pursue what she enjoys doing the most: making delicious desserts and sharing them with the people in her life. She enrolled in the Tokyo branch of the prestigious French culinary institute Le Cordon Bleu and obtained her diploma in French patisserie in December 2006.
Having lived six years in Tokyo, Lynn is fluent in Japanese and finds her sense of taste and aesthetic in desserts heavily influenced by the French trained Japanese master patissiers such as Hidemi Sugino, Yoshiaki Kaneko and Sadaharu Aoki. Lynn believes that a delicious dessert not only has to taste good but it has to look good as well. With a photographer’s eye and a food stylist’s attention to details, Lynn will show you how to make the simplest dessert look like a work of art.
While not in the kitchen cooking up a storm, or developing new ideas for her bespoke cake business , Lynn enjoys walking around with her camera and taking photos of her surroundings. Lynn is a published photographer and a certified food stylist. Her photos have been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Asian Wall Street Journal, Hong Kong Chic, promotional materials for Le Goûter Bernadaud Hong Kong and several websites and web based magazines. Her photo collections can be seen on her photoblog photoblog
