Chef Lino Sauro is the Resident Chef of DOMVS, the Italian restaurant at Sheraton Towers Singapore. Born in Sicily, South of Italy, Lino has had 16 years of culinary experience having worked all around Italy, Switzerland and Germany. His last posting was as Head Chef at the fine dining “Capannina” restaurant at the 4-star Hotel & Resort Du Lac et du Park, located in the famous resort area for the rich and famous, the Riva del Garda in northern Italy. This being his first ever posting in Asia, 36-year-old Lino is excited about showcasing his culinary talent to discerning diners in Singapore.
Lino has been specially handpicked to helm the DOMVS’ kitchen as the restaurant unveils a new look and Chef has also created an all-new menu. The new DOMVS menu will showcase his style of Italian cuisine. The South of Italy, where he is from, is well known for its fresh seafood and vegetables, as well as special seasonal produce – and these will all be showcased in the latest menu. Lino has always believed that Italian food can be served light, refreshing and be considered a healthy meal – his new menu bears this culinary philosophy.
