Sanobar Fine Lebanese Cuisine

Gaser Aly was born June of 1972 in the Alexandria Egypt. He started his career in hospitality as a service crew in a neighborhood restaurant in Alexandria and discovered his early passion for cooking at the age of 15.

Since 1990, Gaser has been experienced Middle Eastern and Arabian cuisine in various countries as he traveled through Cairo, Beirut, Damascus and Dubai,   and has now specialised in Lebanese cuisine, widely considered the epitome of the regions cuisine. 

After being "sous-chef" for two few years at SanoBar Lebanese Restaurant at One Fullerton, Gaser was recently promoted to Chef de Cuisine due to his excellence in culinary skills, profound gastronomic philosophy and personalised service to his VIP guests who appreciated his flair.

In this position, he upholds a cooking tradition that has been passed on from generation to generation in the mountains of Lebanon from where he selectively imports his ingredients such as olive oil, herbs & spices, beans & nuts as well as pickles and wines.

Gaser’s gastronomic philosophy is to offer his guests authentic Lebanese dishes in which the flavour of the ingredients is given great pride. The outcome is a cuisine which is remarkably natural in flavours and honest in content, yet luxurious and constructed with passion and pride. Gaser has made SanoBar famous for its signature dishes including Lebanese Lamb Chops marinated in saffron and 7 Lebanese spices charcoal grilled to perfection to give a fine finish. SanoBar’s hummus is made of 100% imported chick peas from the Bekaa valley with a finish of extra virgin olive oil making it the most popular dip on the menu.

Chef Gaser’s very principles of customer service excellence remain fundamental to his cooking as he enjoys the reward in special requests from his regular patrons.
