In Singapore for 3 years now, Elodie contributes to the growing wine interest by providing consultancy to fine dining restaurants, staff training , wine lectures and commenting on wines during tasting for magazines and private events.
Trained in biochemistry, Elodie’s passion for wine accumulated in a Master Degree in Oenology ( science of wine ). Ten years ago, she started to work as an oenologist in the Loire Valley : her job was to guarantee the quality from grapes to bottles . She was in charge of the follow up for wineries ie: tasting, sample analysis and advice. Subsequently, she became a Production Manager and later managed wine retail businesses in France, selecting, ordering and selling more than 200 wines. She also participated as a jury and tasting panelist for numerous contests, Vinalies and Guide Hachette .
Her aim is to share her passion for wines (especially French wines!) and to make “wine language“ more accessible. She assumes that not everybody can taste and understand this complex product. Wine is a bridge between people, it’s a culture: it is essential to learn how to taste but also to link terroir (overall growing environment of grapes, climate, soil etc) & history beyond wine.
Elodie offers a knowledgeable approach to wine either through grapes or through terroir and she will let you know what are the signs of quality |
